How a Trip Around the Mitten was started
My adventure as a travel blogger began in 2023 as a small Facebook page to document my family’s travels my across the state of Michigan and beyond. My family and friends used my page as a guide and for inspiration to get outdoors and explore the beautiful Great Lakes. Through their support and continued interest in our family’s travels is how “A Trip Around the Mitten” grew and continues to grow each day.
The main focus of my blog is to share my passion of traveling the Mitten state and sharing the amazing places we find along the way.
Behind the scenes...
When I am not blogging our travels, I am a busy wife and mom to two teenage boys as well as a working a full-time career. We are weekend warriors spending most of our free time camping and exploring the outdoors or checking out a small town and all the things that make it great! You will find us hiking the trails, kayaking the rivers or learning new things at the magnificent museums and attractions throughout Michigan.
